Mounting

Mounting type	• Position the protective cap centrally in front of the counterpart. The Phoenix Contact logo must be at the top on both mating elements. Make sure that the coding pin is located outside the pin connector pattern.• The connection is coded and only snaps into place in one position. The rotary element automatically locks the connection and reaches its starting position again. • The STS KN6031 2,2x6 thermoplastic screw (or similar items) can be used in the bore hole provided (torque: 0.2 Nm) to secure the protective cap to an IPD panel feed-through.
Assembly note	• Position the protective cap centrally in front of the counterpart. The Phoenix Contact logo must be at the top on both mating elements. Make sure that the coding pin is located outside the pin connector pattern. • The connection is coded and only snaps into place in one position. The rotary element automatically locks the connection and reaches its starting position again.
	• Make sure that the inside of the protective cap is clean and dry before fitting it. • The self-locking rotary elements of the IPD PL CAP... protective cap and the IPD PL... connector are provided with a coding pin. Make sure not to damage the coding pin.
