The weather station is used for the precise recording, processing, and transmission of environmental data in photovoltaic parks and industrial systems. It is supplied as a preassembled control cabinet with integrated PLCnext Control AXC F 2152, power supply, and sensor and communication connections.
The weather station is compatible with SOL-ES sensors. These sensors meet the requirements of IEC 61724-1 for PV monitoring and provide measured data with maximum accuracy. The desired sensors as well as the corresponding mounting accessories have to be ordered separately (see “Accessories”). In addition to SOL-ES sensors, third-party sensors can also be connected – depending on the project.
The sensors are connected via M12 circular connectors. A daisy-chain connection can optionally be created using an M12 Y distributors (see “Accessories”). The sensors are supplied with 24 V DC. The sensors feature built-in reverse polarity protection.
Measured data is transmitted via standardized communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP or PROFINET, allowing the weather station to be integrated into higher-level supervisory control systems, SCADA solutions, or energy management systems.
The application software is created by the user on a project-specific basis with PLCnext Engineer. As a result, the weather station offers a high degree of flexibility when it comes to selecting and integrating sensors.
NOTE ON APPLICATION
Project-specific application software must be created for startup. The included PLCnext Control AXC F 2152 can be programmed with the free engineering and programming environment PLCnext Engineer.
