Are the new uncoated HEAVYCON STA housings compatible with the old powder-coated variants?

Yes, the previous powder-coated housings are generally compatible with the new uncoated HC-STA variants.
Exception: HC-B32 and HC-STA-B32 cannot be combined with each other.


Are housing variants with multiple threads also possible?

Yes, special variants with several threads can be realized for many housing variants.

Why are the locking forces of the HEAVYCON STA housings higher than those of the old powder-coated or competitor variants?

The previous powder-coated housings provided protection to IP65.
The increased locking forces of the HC-STA housings guarantee the higher degrees of protection IP66 and IP67.


What does “corrosion-resistant aluminum” mean?

HEAVYCON housings are made of a high-quality aluminum alloy.
The housings are subjected to a 96-hour salt spray test in accordance with IEC 60068-2-11:1981.
After the test, there is no damage or signs of corrosion that impair the function of the metal housing.
