The motion data transmitted to the safety PLC is processed and evaluated using the function blocks. This data is monitored by PLCnext Engineer, the safety-related application program. The evaluations relate to the movement speed, non-moving time, and the holding position of machines or machine parts. The function blocks perform safety subfunctions in accordance with the EN 61800-5-2 standard. The library is supported from PLCnext Engineer version 2021.6.0 and later.
