With the FL SWITCH 4300-4GSFP-RED, Phoenix Contact is extending its portfolio for high-availability industrial networks. As a high-performance layer 2 managed switch, it enables zero-latency redundancy via HSR (High-availability Seamless Redundancy) and PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol). This ensures uninterrupted network communication in applications where continuous operation is critical.
Now, Phoenix Contact is also making structured product data available via an Asset Administration Shell (AAS) API on a self-service basis. This enables users to retrieve product information directly and to integrate it into their applications more quickly.
The FLT-SPP and VAL-SPP lightning current and surge protective devices from Phoenix Contact have been tested by an independent body in accordance with the requirements of the new IEC 61643 standard. The units already meet the more stringent requirements and provide designers, system manufactures, and operators with a high degree of reliability, availability, and future-proofing.
Phoenix Contact has redesigned the CUTFOX 10 automatic cutting device and significantly improved its performance. Due to a product improvement, the device can now cut flexible conductors with cross-sections up to 16 mm² (6 AWG) with precision. The maximum cutting capacity was previously 10 mm² (8 AWG).
The analysts at PAC have once again ranked Phoenix Contact’s PLCnext Technology “Best in Class” in the “Digital Platforms for Industrial Edge Management” category in the PAC Innovation RADAR 2026. This marks the fifth consecutive time that the open automation platform has received this accolade. Key factors included, in particular, the platform’s high level of cyber resilience, its openness, and PLCnext Technology’s strong position in energy applications and critical infrastructure.
With revenue growth of over 20 percent in the first half of 2026, Phoenix Contact’s business performance has been very strong. This is due, in particular, to the dynamic developments in international markets.
