PTFIX distribution and collection blocks

PTFIX distribution and collection blocks

Compared to the PTVFIX distribution blocks, the distinguishing feature of the PTFIX distribution blocks is their front Push-in connection. The blocks have integrated bridging, which means that each block carries a single potential. This feature makes the distribution and collection blocks ideal for cost-effective load and control current distribution. The PTFIX blocks are available with 4, 6, 12, and 18 terminal points and as single blocks with two terminal points. The distribution blocks are available with or without additional line contact. Regarding the nominal cross-section, here you can choose between 1.5, 2.5, and 4 mm². In addition, distribution blocks with a nominal cross-section of 10 mm² are also available. With 15 different color versions available (10 mm² = five color versions), the variety of colors ensures the easy color-coded assignment of conductors and terminal points.

PTVFIX distribution blocks with lateral conductor connection

Compared to the PTFIX blocks, the main distinguishing feature of the PTVFIX distribution and collection blocks is their lateral conductor connection. Lateral Push-in connection is indicated by the letter “V” in the name, which stands for “Vertical”. The PTVFIX distribution blocks are available as distribution blocks and collection blocks with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² with 2, 6, 12, and 18 terminal points. The distribution blocks are available in five standard colors. With integration into the online configurator, you can order additional color versions. The PTVFIX blocks therefore also enable the clear color-coded assignment of terminal points and conductors.

In addition to the distribution and connection blocks with standard approvals, the portfolio also includes PTFIX versions with Ex approval (explosion protection). Ex approval is an essential part of safety technology. The Ex standard enables products to be used in areas where combustible materials, gases, and sources of ignition can encounter each other.

PTVFIX multi-blocks mounted on a DIN rail

PTVFIX multi-blocks

PTVFIX multi-blocks

The PTVFIX multi-blocks are the first FIX distribution blocks to carry more than one potential. Unlike the other distribution blocks, the multi-blocks do not have integrated bridging. This means that the blocks carry one potential per two terminal points. This feature makes the blocks particularly suitable in areas such as building installation. Quickly and easily connect the phase, the neutral conductor, and the protective conductor in just one compact and space-saving block. Like the other blocks in the FIX distribution block family, the multi-blocks use the standardized accessories of the CLIPLINE complete system. This means that you can also benefit here from various mounting types, an online configurator, and testing and marking accessories. The blocks are initially available with a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm².

Distribution blocks with functional features

The PTFIX-function function distribution blocks enable the easy integration of function elements such as disconnect elements, fuses, or components. The blocks have integrated bridging and are available with seven terminal points and a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm².

SI fuse blocks

The SI fuse blocks have screw-in fuses rather than disconnect elements. These screw-in fuses enable simple protection for the individual distribution connections. If tripped, the fuses can be quickly and easily replaced. Along with the standard versions, blocks with signal lights are also available for signaling defective fuses.

TG function distribution block

The TG disconnect base blocks are equipped with a standardized disconnect zone. The disconnect zone enables the integration of isolating plugs, fuse plugs, or component connectors. This allows the blocks to be used in a highly individual way. Use the blocks to separate or protect signals or to implement diodes or LEDs. The various function plugs are listed in the accessories for the respective item.

MT function distribution block

The MT knife-disconnect version is a disconnect block with integrated knife disconnection. Instead of the universal disconnect zones, this block has permanently integrated disconnect knives that can be swiveled. The disconnect knives of the MT version are particularly space-saving and remain captive. The disconnect knives, which can be swiveled, can only be opened with a screwdriver. This ensures a high level of safety, as a deliberate action is required to open the disconnect knives.

MTL function distribution blocks

Like the MT versions, the MTL blocks are a basic disconnect block with permanently integrated disconnect knives. What distinguishes the two versions is that the disconnect knives of the MTL version have a lever. This lever allows the user to operate the disconnect knives without using any tools. However, the MTL version requires more space above the block for this.

Device terminal block and device connection block with connected conductors and marking

Device connection blocks and device terminal blocks

Device terminal blocks with screw connection

The G and GE device terminal blocks use universal screw connection technology. The screw connection is maintenance-free due to the patented Reakdyn principle and enables simple multi-conductor connection. In contrast to the FIX distribution blocks, the terminal points of the device terminal blocks are not bridged with each other. The GE 10/2-BA BU block is the exception. The other device connection blocks thus carry individual potentials like the FIX multi-blocks. The device connection blocks are available in nominal cross-sections of 4, 10, and 35 mm². Depending on the cross-section, the block versions have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 12 positions. The device blocks can only be mounted using direct mounting, i.e., screwed onto a mounting panel, for example. The individual blocks can be tested quickly and easily via the terminal screws.

Mounting accessories for the FIX distribution blocks

The distribution blocks in the FIX family can be integrated into your solution in several ways using various mounting adapters and block versions. Use the various adapters and fix the blocks either on the DIN rail or directly on the mounting panel via a flange. Adhesive versions are also available for quick and easy mounting.

DIN rail adapter for horizontal mounting of the distribution blocks on the DIN rail
DIN rail adapter for vertical mounting of the distribution blocks on the DIN rail
Snap-on flanges for direct mounting of the distribution blocks
Distribution blocks with adhesive pad for adhesive mounting
Double DIN rail adapter for space-saving mounting of 1.5 mm² distribution blocks
DIN rail adapter for horizontal mounting of the distribution blocks on the DIN rail

The horizontal DIN rail adapters are available for NS 15 and NS 35 DIN rails. To mount, attach the distribution block to the corresponding adapter feet. The block can then be snapped onto the DIN rail very easily. We recommend using two snap-on feet for each stand-alone block. This number can be reduced for solutions that combine several distribution blocks. The corresponding mounting adapter is listed in the accessories for the respective blocks. However, you can also select distribution blocks including adapters.

DIN rail adapter for vertical mounting of the distribution blocks on the DIN rail

The vertical DIN rail adapter can be mounted on NS 35 and NS 15 DIN rails. To mount, simply attach the distribution blocks to the adapter. The adapter is then snapped onto the DIN rail. To prevent the blocks from slipping down, when mounting make sure that the side with the base latch is facing downward. The corresponding mounting adapter is listed in the accessories for the individual blocks. However, you can also directly select blocks including adapters in the product list.

Snap-on flanges for direct mounting of the distribution blocks

In addition to DIN rail mounting, the blocks can also be mounted directly by means of snap-on flanges. To do this, you need to connect the flanges to the ends of the distribution blocks by means of tongue and groove connection. For longer rows of distribution blocks, flanges should also be integrated between the distribution blocks. Once the flanges are engaged, the blocks can simply be screwed onto the mounting panel. The corresponding flange is listed in the accessories for the respective block.

Distribution blocks with adhesive pad for adhesive mounting

The distribution block versions for adhesive mounting feature an adhesive pad on the bottom of the block. To mount these blocks, simply remove the protective foil covering the adhesive pad. You can now attach the block to various surfaces. When using this method, make sure that the blocks are always adhered to clean surfaces. It is not necessary to use a primer or roughen the surface beforehand. You will find detailed assembly notes and information regarding the adhesive in the online shop in the download area for the respective products.

Double DIN rail adapter for space-saving mounting of 1.5 mm² distribution blocks

The double DIN rail adapter can be snapped onto the NS 35 DIN rail and thus enables the space-saving configuration of several distribution blocks. To mount, attach the distribution blocks to the corresponding adapter feet. The blocks can then be easily snapped onto the DIN rail. We recommend using two snap-on feet for each stand-alone block. The corresponding mounting adapter is listed in the accessories for the 1.5 mm² versions.

Bridge accessories for the distribution blocks and collection blocks

The distribution blocks in the FIX families feature integrated bridging. All the distribution connections are connected to each other and to the line contact by means of this bridging. If you need more than one distribution block with 18 terminal points, the Push-in distribution blocks and collection blocks can be extended easily with the 2-pos. standard plug-in bridges from the CLIPLINE complete system. Snap the blocks together with the tongue and groove connection. As soon as the blocks are connected, they can be extended easily with a plug-in bridge across the outer distribution connections.

Test accessories for the distribution and collection blocks

So that tests can be performed as quickly and easily as possible, the FIX blocks feature special test pick-offs for test plugs with a diameter of 2.3 mm. The test pick-offs make it very easy to test the blocks with the conductors inserted. In addition, the test pick-offs provide a high level of touch safety during the testing process. The distribution and collection blocks are equipped with one test pick-off per block. The function distribution blocks, on the other hand, have one test pick-off per connection. The reason for this is that the various distribution connections can be separated and tested separately with the aid of the disconnect knives. The individual connections of the fuse block can also be measured separately.

Marking accessories for the distribution and collection blocks

For easy marking of the FIX distribution blocks, the blocks can be marked with self-adhesive marking material (TML or SK). To enable straight and neat marking, the blocks have a flat marking groove specially designed for adhesive markings.
