DC/DC converters of the QUINT family maximize the availability of your application. With SFB Technology, preventive function monitoring, a long service life, and IECEx approval, they increase safety and reliability. For the first time, you can individually adjust signaling thresholds and characteristic curves for the DC/DC converter. You also have a free choice of connection technology.

The DC/DC converters from the QUINT family are suitable for high power ratings with currents up to 20 A. Thanks to the wide input voltage range, the DC/DC converters cover all common input and output voltages in the performance classes up to 480 W.

QUINT DC/DC converters convert nominal input voltages of 12 V DC, 24 V DC, or 48 V DC into output voltages of 12 V DC to 56 V DC.

In addition to the voltage levels listed, the QUINT DC/DC converters with a wide range input feature an input voltage range of 42 to 96 V DC or 67 to 154 V DC. These are ideal for use in railway applications or power generation, for example.

These space-saving devices from the QUINT family offer maximum functionality from a power range of 30 W and also cover the power range of 60 W for the first time.

QUINT DC/DC converters convert nominal input voltages of 12 V DC, 24 V DC, 48 V DC, or 110 V DC into output voltages of 5 V DC to 56 V DC.

The low housing depth of 89 mm enables installation in flat control cabinets, and the DNV-GL approval means they can be used in maritime environments.

The Plus version of the DC/DC converter with MOSFET integrated decoupling for 1+1 and n+1 redundancy provides symmetrical load distribution and increases system availability. It also satisfies the requirements for functional safety (SIL 2). It achieves SIL 3 in conjunction with the QUINT4-S-ORING/12-24DC/1X40/+ redundancy module.

With a protective coating and ATEX and IECEx approval in accordance with the standards IEC 60079-0, IEC 60079-7, IEC 60079-11, and IEC 60079-15, it can also be used in zone 2 potentially explosive areas.

The new Plus version is rounded out by a wide temperature range of -40°C to +70°C for use under extreme ambient conditions. The PCB protective coating (CO stands for coated) protects against dust, corrosive gases, and 100% humidity. Failures due to creepage currents and electrochemical migration caused by corrosion are also prevented.

With direct connection to string voltages of up to 1,000 V DC, the combiner box is supplied directly from the photovoltaic panel. You therefore save additional installation costs and increase system efficiency. Furthermore, the UL 1741 approval for the DC/DC converter simplifies the certification process for the overall system. In a further extension stage, the signal line can be replaced by a wireless connection.
