Data front plates offer numerous connection options in a very confined space, as different contact inserts can be freely combined. Service interfaces are available with the following inserts:
- D-SUB 9
- RJ45
- USB
- Sockets
- SC-RJ coupling
The electrical outlets and service interfaces provide a great deal of flexibility for various applications. The sockets and interfaces can be used in harsh industrial environments. They are suitable for control cabinets, infrastructure components, and a wide range of devices. The sockets can be installed on the DIN rail or by means of direct mounting.

Service interfaces
Service interfaces in control cabinets improve the efficiency and safety of maintenance and servicing work. Specialist personnel can easily access the electronics without opening the control cabinet. Operational interruptions are avoided. The protected service interfaces also minimize the risk of incorrect operation and maintain system integrity.

The robust, temperature-resistant mounting frames with IP65 degree of protection enable use in harsh industrial environments. The product portfolio includes metal and plastic frames for one or two data front plates.
The space-saving Data Service Interfaces (DSIs) from Phoenix Contact are a convenient solution for service work on control cabinets and devices. With various interfaces including RJ45 and USB, the space-saving service interfaces enable the quick and easy connection of additional electrical devices. The data interfaces are mounted in a standard 22.5 mm hole. The increased IP protection class of IP65/IP67 with the protective cover closed makes the DSIs ideal for use in industrial environments.
Socket in the control cabinet
Available with 11 different plug geometries, the electrical outlets can be used internationally for control cabinet building or systems manufacturing. Additional functions such as LED indicators, fuses, switches, or circuit breakers extend the range of possible applications.
You can choose to wire the electrical outlets with Push-in or screw connection technology. The procedure for mounting the sockets is also extremely flexible. Either latch them onto the DIN rail or mount them directly by means of screw or adhesive mounting. In combination with the adapter plate, the sockets can also be built into the service interfaces.
Fused sockets provide mains protection. In the event of a fault, they only trip selectively so that other areas of the power grid remain in operation. At the same time, replacing the fuse is quick and easy. Sockets with integrated switches disconnect the power to connected devices individually, without actuating the backup fuse or unplugging the mains plug.
Color versions identify sockets with particular tasks, e.g., a safety power supply from a separate power source. An LED indicates whether the socket is in operation and a voltage is present.
Along with standard mounting on the DIN rail, these sockets can also be screwed directly onto a suitable surface. Thus, the products can be installed flexibly and based on the situation.
The terminal points of the electrical outlets are all arranged on the lower side. This reduces the space required and enables convenient wiring. Along with the time-saving Push-in connection, socket versions with the classic and well proven screw connection technology are also available.
