Notes on data protection when using the Event App
Use of personal data
Data processed within the use of this app are processed by Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG and if need be – depending on the event – by its affiliated companies (hereinafter jointly referred to as “Phoenix Contact”). These data are exclusively used purpose-bound for organizing and handling the respective event to which a user is registered.
By default, the app usually displays your name and any other data such as your company and your position. Within the app, you may add additional data to your profile. You can define whether your profile shall be visible to other participants in the event via the list of participants. If you are actively using certain functions (for example, the group chat) your name will be visible even if you did not release your profile.
When using the app, a secure, encrypted connection to servers of a service provider of Phoenix Contact is established. The servers of the service provider are operated exclusively in countries of the European Union (EU). Likewise, the provision of the service for Phoenix Contact is subject to the German and European data protection law and their internationally recognized high standards. The service provider was committed by us in writing to comply with the European/German data protection law (Agreement on contract data processing).
For security and technical reasons, information is processed which your terminal equipment transmits automatically. This is essentially:
- Hostname and full IP address of your accessing device
- Date and time of use
- Data on your terminal equipment (operating system used, etc)
- Number of logins from different devices (IP address)
We do not combine these data with other data sources and do not make statistical evaluations on the basis of these data.
Update of this information on data protection
If Phoenix Contact changes this app or if the internet and DP security technology advances, this data protection information will be updated. We therefore reserve the right to amend or supplement the information as required. The respective applicable version will be published here.
