CCS charging inlets for electric buses

Fast charging with up to 700 A
CHARX vehicle charging inlets for electric buses

Charging an electric bus in a very short time is essential for use in inner-city operation with tightly timed route schedules. But coaches also rely on short charging stops with fast charging on their long journeys. Our CHARX connect universal CCS vehicle charging inlets are a vehicle charging interface for fast charging with up to 700 kW in Boost Mode. The CCS charging inlets are robust, durable, dust-proof, and watertight, and have efficient temperature sensors.

Electric bus from Ebusco with CCS vehicle charging inlets

Long service life and high quality

Renowned electric bus manufacturers have been installing our CCS vehicle charging inlets for years. Our customers particularly appreciate the high quality, robustness, and long service life of far more than the 10,000 insertion cycles required as standard. The CCS charging interfaces are protected and sealed against water, dust, and dirt with high-level IP6K7 and IP6K5 degrees of protection.

Safety is very important to us. This is why our vehicle charging inlets have precise temperature measurement with Pt 1000 sensors at the DC power contacts. This ensures that overheating can be safely prevented. Our CCS charging inlets comply with the IEC 62196-1, IEC 62196-2, IEC 62196-3, and SAE J1772 standards and are manufactured in the IATF 16949-certified company facilities in accordance with the high automotive standard.

High Power Charging

With our cable cross-sections of 120 mm², a vehicle can be continuously charged with 375 kW (375 A/1,000 V) and, temporarily, even with up to 700 kW (700 A/1,000 V) in Boost Mode. Our charging inlets with a cable cross-section of 95 mm² achieve a continuous charging power of 250 kW (250 A/1,000 V) and up to 500 kW (500 A/1,000 V) in Boost Mode.
