Phoenix Contact has received the Sustainability Direct Award from Grundfos. This award recognizes the Blomberg-based company’s commitment to sustainability as an integral part of its business operations and innovation activities.

Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group, will integrate the Virtual PLCnext Control software solution from Phoenix Contact as part of its solution for manufacturing industry.

The process industry is facing various challenges – including the need for higher efficiency and flexibility in modularization, cost reductions in processes, and the use of sustainable resources for system operations. Based on the development of technology standards and modularization approaches, Phoenix Contact will be presenting suitable solutions with regard to energy efficiency and carbon reductions at the ACHEMA trade fair in Hall 11.1, Booth A31.

Festo, manufacturer of pneumatic and electrical automation technology, will use PLCnext Technology, the open ecosystem for modern automation from Phoenix Contact, in future intelligent devices.

The Phoenix Contact Group has acquired Canadian company iS5 Communications Inc. based in Mississauga, Ontario.
