Phoenix Contact empolyee, Kelvin Jones, recently completed his Snowdon climb to raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity . He has smashed his target and has raised £570! Well done Kelvin!

At Phoenix Contact, we actively promote employees to support their local community. To ensure we reach as many areas as possible we offer an “ESG Day” where staff can take a days leave to give something back.

Three employees used their ESG day to raise money for PAPYRUS UK, the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people. Their challenge was to complete 72 holes of golf in one day.

"We started our challenge teeing off at 5am Friday morning, a pleasant 19 degrees at that point and finally completed our 72 holes around 8:30pm.   Challenge took place at the Wrekin GC, while a shorter course than some it's very hilly and a typical round includes an ascent of 157m, so a decent strain on the legs on what was the hottest day of the year so far.  We carried our clubs for the challenge on what ended up being around 24 miles over the 72 holes / 4 rounds."

In May guests from the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity presented to our employees explaining the important work they carry out across the local region.

Phoenix Contact will be supporting this amazing charity by taking part in fundraising events, volunteering and colleting donations throughout 2025 & 2026

A member of our logistics team did just that – “As part of my ESG working in the community day I helped to raise money for the Royal British Legion poppy appeal at Sainsbury's Shrewsbury.”
