Who are you and what is your job at Phoenix Contact?
My name is Turelle Williamson and I’m the Regional Sales Engineer for the Central Midlands. I have been with Phoenix for almost 3 years now, which has just flown by! I joined as a Junior Sales Engineer on a graduate scheme/apprenticeship programme and have recently been promoted to a Field Sales Engineer.
What is special about your job and why do you like doing it?
The thing I like most about my job is that it allows me to connect with different people every day. Whether it is by phone, email or face to face meetings, I enjoy having the opportunity to meet new people and learn about what it is they do and how we, as a company, can support them.
What are you doing in your private life to make a difference?
I have recently joined a local group for men to meet on Saturday mornings to take their dogs for a walk. As much as this is a great benefit for the dogs, it also encourages us to get out of the house and spend time talking to each other, something which can make a huge difference when it comes to mental health.
What (unusual) hobby do you have?
I’d say my most recent and unusual hobby has been becoming obsessed with trying to grow the perfect lawn. Having moved into a new house this summer, it has become my latest project...proving more difficult than I had anticipated!
