Wireless I/O integration into the control level

The Radioline function blocks for PC Worx make it possible to read process data, status parameters, and diagnostic parameters for the Radioline wireless system directly using a controller.

Using modern wireless technology, it is very easy to integrate I/O signals from distributed sensors and actuators over large distances into a controller from Phoenix Contact.

In widely distributed outdoor system structures such as communal infrastructure, water/wastewater, power generation, raw material extraction, transportation technology, and also chemical parks or other process engineering systems, measured values and operating messages often have to be communicated to a control center from many remote stations. This includes, for example, the monitoring of fill levels or consistent recording of pump performance and flow rates.

In the control center, the process data is then either transmitted to a higher-level system via a standardized software interface or displayed on a monitor in prepared format. Yet something that sounds relatively simple demands a great deal of technical software-related programming effort.

Function blocks can be used to integrate new functions quickly and easily or transform devices into a full-fledged part of your control system. This reduces your development time.

Using modern wireless technology, it is very easy to integrate I/O signals from distributed sensors over large distances into a controller from Phoenix Contact. In the Radioline head station, the entire wireless network is thus represented with just one Modbus slave address, and sensor/actuator information can be read and written easily.
