The CHARX connect universal vehicle charging inlets enable the AC and DC charging of all types of electric vehicles. Along with type 1 and type 2 AC and CCS (Combined Charging System) charging inlets, GB/T versions are also available for China. The vehicle charging inlets are already being used successfully in electric cars from well-known manufacturers and in all kinds of utility vehicles. They allow electric vehicles to be charged continuously with a charging power of 250 kW, and even up to 500 kW in Boost Mode.

Charging now possible with a permanent 375 kW

The new performance class of CHARX connect universal CCS vehicle charging inlets now enables permanent and uncooled HPC charging at 375 kW thanks to a conductor cross-section of 120 mm². In Boost Mode, significantly higher charging powers are even possible for a short period.

CHARX connect universal offers a broad portfolio of type 1 and type 2 AC charging inlets, CCS charging inlets, and GB/T AC and DC vehicle charging inlets for the Asian market.
Our CCS charging inlets are available with conductor cross-sections of 35 mm² (120 A), 70 mm² (200 A), 95 mm² (250 A), and 120 mm² (375 A). This means that charging powers of up to 700 kW (700 A / 1,000 V) are possible in Boost Mode.

The CCS charging inlets with DC conductor cross-sections of up to 120 mm² enable safe HPC charging with 375 kW (375 A/1,000 V), and in Boost Mode, more than 500 kW (500 A/1,000 V). Depending on external factors, such as the ambient temperature, it is therefore possible to charge electric vehicles in just a few minutes.

Pt 1000 sensors at both DC power contacts

The optimized connection technology minimizes heating of the connection system. The integrated, highly accurate temperature sensor technology ensures a high level of safety, as the vehicle can dynamically regulate the required charging current based on the temperature evaluation. Pt 1000 sensors are located at both DC power contacts. The AC area includes PTC sensor technology.

Electric vehicle charging inlet with high IP degree of protection

With their optimized sealing system, our vehicle charging inlets have been successfully tested in accordance with ISO 20653.
The entire charging inlet features comprehensive IP6K7 and IP6K5 degree of protection. It is therefore protected from all sides against the ingress of dust and water up to a depth of one meter, splash water, and contact. This applies both to the part installed inside the vehicle and to the contact area outside, even when the charging flap is open. The contact area of the charging inlet also has IP6K6K and IP6K9K degree of protection and is therefore protected against high-pressure or steam jet cleaning.

All vehicle charging inlets have an extremely compact design. In addition, the relevant external dimensions and screw-connection geometries of the CCS charging inlets and AC charging inlets are identical to each other.

This allows manufacturers and retrofitters to plan the same installation space for each electric vehicle regardless of the target market – from buses to motorcycles.
