The Smart Ethernet Box is an outdoor PoE switch with integrated power supply, surge protection, splice tray for fiber optics, and a DIN rail for additional accessories. Featuring up to four Gigabit Power over Ethernet ports and two uplink ports, it is the ideal all-in-one device for a large number of applications, such as video surveillance, LED lighting, WLAN access point and other network applications. This makes it not only perfect for outdoor use, but also ideally suited for demanding industrial and commercial indoor applications.

The Smart Ethernet Box provides a powerful PoE supply for demanding network devices: With support for the IEEE 802.3bt standard, it supplies end devices with up to 90 W per port, ideal for power-intensive applications such as PTZ cameras or access points. An integrated calendar function allows connected end devices to be switched on and off automatically at defined times. Comprehensive monitoring functions ensure transparency at all times, e.g., through graphical representation of the PoE budget or targeted error diagnostics in the event of voltage problems.
Protected by integrated security functions
The Smart Ethernet Box supports the security of your network with extensive security functions: VLAN logically separates sensitive data streams, while authentication in accordance with IEEE 802.1X ensures that only authorized devices are granted access. In addition, a MAC address filter makes unauthorized connections more difficult. Integrated role and user management allows differentiated assignment of rights for administrators and internal or external maintenance personnel. If there are any attempts to physically tamper with the device, this is reported immediately via a sabotage alert.
Maximum availability with the Smart Ethernet Box
Extensive functions maximize the availability and stability of your network infrastructure: Network redundancy via RSTP ensures uninterrupted communication. Functions such as PoE watchdog, LLDP for neighborhood analysis, LAN ports that can be deactivated, and syslog logging ensure system integrity. Integrated and replaceable surge protection protects the device and sends an alert in the event of tripping. The lockable housing provides additional protection against unauthorized access. This ensures reliable 24/7 operation, even under demanding conditions.
Replaceable flange plate for quick device replacement
The Smart Ethernet Box features functional outdoor housing for demanding use. A new feature is the combination of removable splice tray and flange plate, which can be removed without tools for servicing to enable quick replacement without interfering with the cabling.
Thanks to preassembled cable glands, the device is ready for immediate connection without any additional mounting effort. The practical adapter for panel or mast mounting allows quick installation via a latching mechanism. An integrated heatsink also ensures efficient dissipation of the heat generated by the high PoE power. This is a clear advantage over classic control cabinet solutions.
The UV-resistant housing is impact and shock resistant in accordance with IK10 and protected against jet water and dust in accordance with IP65/NEMA 4X. It is therefore ideal for long-term outdoor use, e.g., in a maritime environment.
