Cloud clients Secure remote maintenance of machines

The Cloud Clients connect your machines to the mGuard Secure Remote Service securely via the Internet and allow inexpensive and scalable remote maintenance throughout the world. They provide machine builders and systems manufacturers with a simple and operationally secure solution without the need for specific expert knowledge in network technology or VPN technology.

Your advantages

  • High security with turnkey VPN infrastructure (IPsec)
  • Inexpensive entry into cloud-based remote maintenance
  • Easy startup with configuration wizards in the cloud
  • Local control of remote connection with a connection for a key switch
  • Startup on the device via web interface or SD card
Three Cloud Clients for secure remote maintenance

Cloud Client product family

Cloud Clients – versions for any application

The CLOUD CLIENT 1101T-TX/TX is the most attractively priced version and uses a WAN port that is directly connected to the operator network in the system. With just one click, you can configure whether the firewall prohibits any communication between the operator and machine network or whether this communication ought to be possible.

The CLOUD CLIENT 2002T-WLAN uses an existing WLAN infrastructure for communication. If the device is connected to the guest WLAN, it is even possible to logically decouple the machine builder’s remote maintenance access and the operator network.

The CLOUD CLIENT 2002T-4G EU and CLOUD CLIENT 2102T-4G EU WLAN variants for the European market, on the other hand, offer other connectivity options in addition to the cellular interface for full flexibility in connecting the system on site. Whether via the operator network, cellular communications, or WLAN.

Do you want to find out more about how to configure Cloud Clients but would rather not read a great deal of text? Then simply watch our video on the topic.

In the demo, we show how to configure the Cloud Client, the industrial VPN gateway to the mGuard Secure Remote Service.

Total control with key switches

The Cloud Client signal output allows connection status signaling, for example to a controller or, with the help of lights, for the on-site personnel.

The digital input for establishing the remote connection, on the other hand, guarantees maximum control for the system operator. In the event of any necessary maintenance, the operator can thus grant temporary access to the machine builder. A key switch, for example, which also prevents remote access being opened accidentally, is ideal for this.

The Cloud Clients with extended temperature range can also be used for outdoor systems beyond the production halls. This extends the flexibility of the devices even further.
