Power modules
The highly efficient CHARX power basic fast-charging modules, allow more economic operation of your DC charging infrastructure. They convert AC mains power into the DC power needed for e-vehicle fast charging. The compact 19″ rack modules can be installed directly in the charging station and interconnected in any way in accordance with power requirements.
Directly to the AC/DC power module
Interconnect up to five power modules
With the modular design of a 19" charging station, a charging power of up to 150 kW can be realized by interconnecting up to five 30 kW power modules.
Fast-connection technology
The Push-in fast connection and the T-LOX knee-lever connection allow the use of stripped or ferruled conductor ends, ensuring fast installation and easy maintenance.
Space-saving, efficient design
Especially for charging stations in urban locations, the space requirement is a key factor. Other comparable systems with an identical charging power have a significantly higher space requirement and require additional wiring work.
Comprehensive interfaces
Easily connect your peripheral devices such as the charging cable, touch panels, RFID readers, status LEDs, and power electronics with CCS, CAN bus, OCPP, TCP/IP, RS-485, and I/Os communication interfaces.
Freely programmable in accordance with IEC 61131
The CHARX control integrated control module is extremely flexible in use and features free programming in accordance with IEC 61131, giving you the ability to fully customize the software and user interface of your charging station.

Cellular interface
To use functions such as user management, billing, and remote diagnostics, use the integrated cellular interface to connect the charging controller to a backend system via OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol).
Ethernet interfaces
You can use the two Ethernet ports for visualization of the charging process on a touch panel, for programming via PC Worx, and for integration into a charging and load management system.
Status LEDs
See the status of the charging controller and data traffic on the communication interfaces at a glance via the LEDs. The LEDs can also be used for error diagnostics.
SD card slot
Here you can insert an SD card (available separately) that contains the user license for ready-made PC Worx programming blocks. The SD card can also be used to store logged charging processes and to transfer the controller configuration to other charging controllers.
AC charging interface
To ensure a standard-compliant AC charging process, the controller exchanges the necessary charging parameters with the vehicle via the AC charging interface in accordance with IEC 61851-1.
CCS charging interface
To enable standard-compliant DC fast charging, the controller exchanges the necessary charging parameters in accordance with DIN SPEC 70121 with the vehicle via the CCS charging interface in accordance with IEC 61851-23.
Control of the power electronics
The necessary charging parameters, such as current, voltage, and power, are communicated to the power electronics via the CAN bus interface. To reduce your engineering outlay, we provide ready-made PC Worx function blocks for the CHARX power power modules.
Energy meter connection
To measure energy consumption and bill charging processes precisely, connect AC and DC energy meters via the RS-232 and RS-485 serial interfaces.
RFID reader integration
An RFID card reader can be connected via RS-232 or RS-485 so that users can authorize the charging process – either with a backend system or using the local RFID allowlist.
Digital I/Os
Additional customer-specific components, such as the control of the DC contactors, evaluation of the insulation monitor, monitoring of the door locking mechanism, or activation of charging status LEDs, can be connected via 16 digital inputs and outputs respectively.
The charging controller is programmed by a person using ready-made function blocks in PC Worx
