Protecting, monitoring, and switching DC sectors to an existing DC infrastructure are technical challenges – and Phoenix Contact already has an answer.
The CONTACTRON ELR HDC DC circuit breaker was developed for exactly these tasks. It monitors operating current and voltage and, with its pre-charging function, prevents current peaks when switched on. In the event of an overcurrent, there is a three-stage shutdown.
