Industry-specific requirements

A special level of hygiene and safety is required in the production of food and beverages. Daily cleaning of the production equipment with aggressive cleaning agents is therefore mandatory. The identification materials on wires and cables as well as equipment and installations must withstand these difficult conditions. Neither the marking nor the marking label itself may be impaired or even destroyed by this. If this does occur, even the smallest fragments must be identifiable during the final inspection.

The use of aggressive cleaning agents therefore places high requirements on the chemical resistance of the marking materials and the marking itself.

Blue markings are increasingly used in the food industry so that they can be quickly spotted. The blue color rarely occurs naturally. This means that it stands out particularly well visually and is instinctively noticed quickly. In addition, contaminants such as spores and mold as well as residues from food and cleaning agents can be identified more quickly than with materials of a different color.

Food is subject to the highest quality and safety requirements. Final inspections are absolutely essential to be able to guarantee safe production. If a marking material breaks and enters the production line, it must be possible to detect even the smallest fragments of the marker if there is any doubt. Therefore, the use of detectable marking materials is recommended. These materials can be detected by detection equipment when checking for metallic foreign bodies at the end of the production line.

Due to constant cleaning processes, marking materials are exposed to strong mechanical influences. In addition, the structured surfaces of devices and equipment make ideal label adhesion more difficult. Therefore, a strong adhesive is necessary, which is distributed in the surface structure in the best possible way and thus provides optimum adhesive strength. For permanent identification, the use of markers with additional protective laminate is recommended.

The UC-WMTBA-D... detectable marker is made of polypropylene. The tear-resistant material features outstanding resistance to chemicals and moisture. With this marker and the TOPMARK NEO marking system, you can create a permanent mark. However, if material fatigue should occur, even the smallest fragments of detectable material can be detected during the final inspection.

The halogen-free WMTB HF-D... detectable wire and cable markers are used for the identification and bundling of wires and cables indoors and outdoors. They are made from high-quality thermoplastic polyether urethane. The material is highly flexible and features a very good tear strength. It can be marked with the THERMOMARK ROLL 2.0 or the THERMOMARK E.300 (D)/ E.600 (D).

The markers of the LS-WMTB-V4A... product group excels in particular due to the high resistance against salt water, chloride, and solvents. This means that they are also suitable for particularly demanding requirements in industry. Engraving or annealing marking with the TOPMARK NEO makes the marking permanently durable.

The EML-D... product group includes detectable labels for the identification of various types of equipment in the food industry. The material features a continuous aluminum foil strip that makes the label detectable. With its high adhesive strength, the label also adheres to rough, textured, and low-energy surfaces. It can be marked with the THERMOMARK ROLL 2.0 and the THERMOMARK E.300 (D)/ E.600 (D).

In addition to a high adhesive strength, the EML-LPR-D... device markers have an additional protective laminate. Protective laminates prevent the markings from wearing when labels are exposed to mechanical stress. The markers of the EML-LPR-D... product group can therefore easily withstand the daily cleaning process in food production. They are marked with the THERMOMARK ROLL 2.0 or the THERMOMARK E.300 (D)/ E.600 (D).

The stainless steel device markers are suitable for easy-care and permanent identification that also meets high hygienic requirements. The material is resistant to corrosion, acids, and temperatures. The self-adhesive LS-EMLP-V4A.. stainless steel signs feature particularly good adhesion with its high adhesive strength. Alternatively, the LS-EMSP-V4A... version is suitable for screwing or riveting onto devices. The signs are marked with the TOPMARK NEO.
