MINI Analog Pro Ex family includes both energy-limiting and functional safety

Middletown, PA – Phoenix Contact introduces intrinsic safety versions of the MINI Analog Pro Ex signal conditioners, featuring both energy-limiting and functional safety in a compact package. With these new signal conditioners, process engineers can isolate, convert, filter, and amplify signals in the most hazardous areas.

All of the intrinsic safety (Ex i) signal conditioners in the MINI Analog Pro family are certified for applications up to SIL 3 1oo1 (one out of one). The MINI Analog Pro Ex modules have international Ex approvals, making them suitable for hazardous locations worldwide.

The 6.2-mm signal conditioners save space not only in width but also in the height between the cable ducts. The housing is angled and pluggable, making wiring easy. The MINI Analog Pro Ex family also features an integrated current loop test to help troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime. The protocol adapters in the product line can integrate up to eight analog and digital signals into industrial bus systems and networks without interference.

Free software and easy-to-find product specification references via QR code make the technician’s job easier. Other digital features include digital tagging via NFC (Near Field Communication) and a digital nameplate.
