Robust, powerful CCS and AC charging inlets

for electric construction machinery and construction vehicles
E-excavator being charged via CCS interface

Emission-free construction sites are increasingly being demanded by cities and municipalities. Battery-electric construction machinery and construction vehicles make this possible. E-vehicles are also being used increasingly in mines and tunnel construction. As the vehicle charging interface for charging these e-vehicles and e-construction machinery, we provide robust and durable CCS charging inlets for fast charging with up to 700 kW as well as AC charging inlets for overnight charging with up to 22 kW.

Protected and sealed against water, dust, and dirt Safely protected with the high IP degree of protection

The charging inlet has comprehensive IP6K7 and IP6K5 protection, tested in accordance with ISO 20653. Thanks to the high IP protection class, our CHARX connect universal vehicle charging inlets are perfectly protected against the ingress of dust, water, and dirt, even in a challenging environment such as on a construction site.

The contact area of the charging inlet also has IP6K6K and IP6K9K degrees of protection. This means that the construction machine or utility vehicle can be cleaned with a high-pressure or steam jet, even when the charging flap is open.

Fast charging during lunch breaks Fast charging with the HPC-compatible CCS charging inlets

We provide vehicle charging inlets with the Combined Charging System (CCS) to charge utility vehicles and construction machinery over a lunch break on a construction site, during tunnel construction, and mining work. These are available with DC cable cross-sections of 30, 70, 95, and 120 mm², and enable fast charging on the vehicle side in boost mode of 250, 500, and 700 kW (700 A / 1,000 V) as well as a continuous charging current of 125 A, 200 A, 250 A, and 375 A. CCS charging inlets with various cable lengths are available in our portfolio. Other lengths are available on request.

The Pt 1000 sensors on both DC cable contacts ensure efficient temperature measurement, thus enabling the reliable prevention of overheating.
