Power supplies for signal boxes and on rails

The migration from relay signal boxes to electronic or digital signal boxes has resulted in new demands for power supply solutions. For example, LEU (lineside electronic units) are needed, or conventional control command and signaling technology must be retained as a fallback strategy. Redundant feed-in from various sources such as the power grid and the overhead wire must sometimes be integrated, or solutions that are suitable for both outdoor and indoor systems must be found.

Until now, power supplies have been designed for centralized signal box concepts. As a result, inadequate devices that in particular did not conform to industry standards for reliability and design were often used in the past.
