The robust Phoenix Contact Axiocontrol series features several PLCs in various performance classes for PLCnext Technology. They are designed for programming with high-level languages, as well as classic IEC 61131-3 languages.
The PLCs can be extended with modules for the Axioline and Inline IP20 I/O systems. Furthermore, you can also add further hardware functions, such as an additional Ethernet port or safety and AI functions, to the left of the AXC F 2152 and AXC F 3152 PLCnext Control.

Security is based on a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) where user certificates can also be stored. The controllers in this series are the first PLCs to be certified by TÜV Süd to IEC 62443-4-1 ML 3 Full Process Profile in combination with IEC 62443-4-2. This confirms that the Secure Development Life Cycle was fully applied in developing PLCnext Control. Product certification in accordance with IEC 62443-4-1/-4-2 confirms that a product has been developed safely and provides information about which technical safety requirements have been implemented. Activating the security profile also gives you access to an extensive range of security level 2 (SL2) functions.

To enable the efficient, cloud-based use of data from the field, PLCnext Control for edge applications offers the option of implementing high-performance, intelligent IoT solutions directly at the point of data generation. This consistently bridges the gap between the IT and OT worlds. Containerized control and open interfaces make integration into existing IT infrastructures particularly straightforward.

With a full-fledged Linux Ubuntu Pro operating system and easy integration of software tools such as Node-RED, local dashboards, and a time series database, development and provision times can be significantly reduced. Processing data directly on the device enables fast, reliable, and latency-free information flows. Management is carried out conveniently via a web-based management tool. The edge system is designed for continuous industrial operation and also supports demanding applications such as AI-based anomaly detection and autonomous systems.

PLCnext Control is a scalable and safe control system based on PLCnext Technology. This controller has been specially designed for harsh environments in power generation and distribution and can be extended with smart software solutions and certified I/Os.

The PLCnext Control features an extended temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and meets the EMC requirements in accordance with to IEC 61850 Class H. In addition, the extended device monitoring function with integrated watchdog and the live relay contact ensure additional safety.

With three independent Ethernet interfaces and integrated remote control protocols (IEC 60870-5-101 and IEC 60870-5-104), the controller is ideal for use in critical infrastructures.
