Thermal-magnetic circuit breaker, 1-pos., normal blow, 1 N/O contact, with universal foot for mounting on NS 32 or NS 35
Thermal-magnetic device circuit breakers
Thermal-magnetic circuit breakers feature a thermal tripping mechanism as well as a magnetic tripping mechanism. This means that the protective devices trip faster in the event of a short circuit compared to thermal fuses. With their various characteristic curves, the device circuit breakers also satisfy the requirements for long cable paths. They therefore provide ideal protection against overload and short-circuit currents.

Thermal-magnetic device circuit breakers Function and design
Thermomagnetic device circuit breakers are tripped both thermally and magnetically. The two systems, bimetal and solenoid, operate independently of one another.
In the case of thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, the tripping mechanism is activated within 3 to 5 ms in the event of a short circuit. This is faster than with purely thermal circuit breakers.
Use device circuit breakers with fast characteristic curves, such as F2 curves, to realize longer cable runs in your system. In conjunction with QUINT POWER power supplies from Phoenix Contact, you can achieve maximum protection for your cables and devices. The device circuit breakers can be switched on again at any time.
Our thermomagnetic device circuit breakers are available in a one-piece and a pluggable design. Choose between screw connection and Push-in connection technology.
Circuit breakers are installed in the control cabinets of a wide range of machines
Areas of application
Thermal-magnetic device circuit breakers are primarily used in information and communication technology as well as in process control. Due to the various tripping characteristics and precise nominal current levels, the device circuit breakers can be used in a wide range of applications.
For example, they are ideal for protecting programmable logic controllers, valves, motors, and frequency converters.
