Due to high-frequency switching operations in PV systems, interference commonly occurs on communication cables. This means that interference-free monitoring of PV systems cannot always be ensured. Wireless communication in the 2.4 GHz band is immune to electromagnetic interference and is therefore ideal for use in PV systems. Using the new wireless modules, serial RS-485 cables can be easily and flexibly replaced with a secure, interference-free wireless connection.
