Experience Phoenix Contact USA’s re-designed Customer Technology Center (CTC) in Houston, Texas. This 15,000-square-foot facility focuses solely on Power Reliability training, education, and support for our employees, customers, integrators, and distribution partners.

The CTC hosts the new Power Reliability Application Center, which features interactive product demos and a training and testing laboratory. It also has a 50-seat state-of-the-art multimedia seminar hall equipped with video equipment, a sound system, and a recording system. Other features of this customer training facility include a complete catering kitchen, dining room, conference rooms, and a 1,500-square-foot warehouse.

The Power Reliability Application Center combines dedicated personnel, laboratory testing, focused training, and technology support. It serves as a hub for Power Reliability education and support in low-voltage power conversion, circuit protection, energy monitoring, and power distribution for the industrial market. Design engineers and system integrators can test the technology, simulate real-world applications, and see first-hand how power products react in different situations. The facility is located at 3993 W. Sam Houston Parkway North, Suite 500.

Advanced Power Reliability training class

Phoenix Contact has expanded the CTC staff to include experts focusing exclusively on Advanced Power Reliability Training. This team hosts hands-on training classes on designing, building, and running reliable power systems for different applications.

During the three-day class, participants will perform tests and measurements to learn how the different parts of the power system work together. Breakout workshops will explore in-depth applications and unique scenarios.

This training covers the full suite of Power Reliability products and topics, including:

  • Power supplies: from basic to critical systems
  • NEC Class 2 circuits
  • Integrating electronic circuit breakers
  • Designing redundant power circuits
  • Battery back-up
  • Communicating energy data via industrial networks
