Employees present the new sustainability report and the Ecovadis Award

Phoenix Contact is among the top five percent of companies awarded gold medal status for their sustainability performance by the independent analysts at Ecovadis. The company from Ostwestfalen-Lippe, Germany, was thus able to maintain its gold status for another year. Around the same time, Phoenix Contact published its new sustainability report – which is available as a climate-friendly download online.

The environment, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement – these are the four core elements that were included in the Ecovadis rating of Phoenix Contact. To give you an idea of the level of detail for the sustainability performance analysis, the questionnaire on the four areas alone was around 160 pages long. “This is a challenging process,” says Mareike Lönnecker from the Phoenix Contact sustainability team.

The new sustainability report shows readers that the work is particularly worthwhile in terms of climate protection and resource conservation – now and in the future. The report provides a detailed overview of the activities that come under the scope of ESG. The abbreviation ESG stands for Environmental Social Governance. In 2023, Phoenix Contact’s key measures included investments in renewable energies, resource conservation measures, and diversity initiatives.
