Unmanaged switches 1000 and 1100
The FL SWITCH 1000 and 1100 series of unmanaged switches are the latest generation in our portfolio of unmanaged Ethernet switches. These switches are suitable for many automation applications and feature different transmission speeds and installation options.
Simply unpack, connect, and use
The 1000 and 1100 series of switches are fully Plug and Play-capable, and do not need to be configured. Users therefore find them easy to operate and install. Furthermore, status LEDs on the front and side of the switches provide basic information on the connection statuses at a glance. This means that an interrupted connection, e. g., due to a faulty cable, can be diagnosed quickly.
Fiberglass connection versatility
Classic Ethernet communication via copper cables or long communication paths via fiberglass connections – the FL SWITCH 1000 and 1100 series unmanaged switches enable both. Choose the ideal solution for your application from a range of versions with up to 16 RJ45 ports and various fiberglass interfaces (SC, ST/BFOC, SFP). Furthermore, the devices with SFP ports feature a particularly high level of flexibility, with a broad range of SFP modules available. This enables you to realize multimode and singlemode connections with cable lengths of up to 80 km.
Versions for building installation
The 1100 series also includes versions with a suitable design for building automation. Their REG format in accordance with DIN 43880, means that they are specifically designed for use in building distribution boards. Accordingly, they enable a particularly space-saving installation for building technology directly in the building subdistribution.
In addition to the standard version with eight Gigabit-capable Ethernet ports (FL SWITCH 1108 REG), Phoenix Contact also offers a version with four standard ports and four PoE ports, which can also supply your connection devices with power at the same time (FL SWITCH 1104-4POE REG).
Flexible installation
A unique mounting accessory allows you to mount the FL SWITCH 1000 and 1100 series of devices flat on the DIN rail. As a result, the switches can also be used in small or flat control cabinets where space is at a premium. You are free to choose the outlet direction of the connections.
This not only makes the switches very flexible to use, but the smaller number of product variants also helps reduce your inventory costs.
Power over Ethernet versions
The Power over Ethernet (PoE) versions of the 1000 series enable you to supply up to eight terminal devices with power and data via the same Ethernet cable. Selected models also include SFP ports, which provide additional flexibility depending on the distance requirements.
Prioritization of data traffic
The new unmanaged switch series features enhanced data traffic prioritization for automation protocols. The real-time properties of PROFINET and EtherNet/IP™ automation networks are thus supported. This results in more stable networks and increased system availability.
