CHARX control flexible DC charging controller Flexible system consisting of PLCnext Control, SECC module, and OCPP app
With CHARX control flexible, you can implement DC EV charging stations as needed and with a high degree of flexibility in terms of the system design. The control system combines a PLCnext Control, such as the AXC F 1252, with the AXL F IF SECC 1FF SECC module. Additional Axioline I/O and interface modules as well as the optional OCPP app allow the control system to be extended. The solution can thus be adapted to different charging concepts and integration requirements.
Unlike many other DC charging controllers, CHARX control flexible is not based on predefined standard software, but on a freely programmable architecture. The application is created with PLCnext Engineer. Efficient implementation is achieved with the help of a function block library for the SECC module. The SECC module supports communication in accordance with IEC 61851, DIN SPEC 70121, and ISO 15118-2, monitors the charging process, and supports the control of power electronics and DC contactors.
Connection to a backend via OCPP 1.6J is also possible as an option. OCPP 2.0.1 is already in preparation. Supplemented by a security-by-design concept based on IEC 62443, this creates a high-performance and future-proof solution for modern DC charging stations.
CHARX control integrated DC charging controller The all-in-one module configuration work, installation, and maintenance
CHARX control integrated combines all control and monitoring functions for your DC fast charging station in a single 19-inch module. Up to ten power modules can be connected to the all-in-one module. The control module combines all the key functions required for operating modern fast-charging infrastructure, such as a PLC, charging controller, insulation monitoring, power contactors, fuses, a 24 V power supply, and power distribution.
The integrated PLCnext Control enables easy backend connectivity via OCPP and communication in accordance with ISO 15118-2. The V2X capability and bidirectional charging ensure a future-proof charging infrastructure.
With its open and freely programmable architecture, the controller offers maximum design flexibility for the development of custom charging applications. Preprogrammed function blocks and a preinstalled example application reduce development time and make it easier to implement new features.
The advantages of the 19-inch system in a video
The modular 19-inch system in detail Implement quick rack mounting of your DC charging stations
The CHARX system in a standard 19-inch format consists of several coordinated modules for distributing, transforming, and controlling the charging current: The new distribution module CHARX power distribute, the new control module power module CHARX control integrated, and the CHARX power basic power modules can be combined to suit any charging situation.
Compared to classic assembly with DIN rail components, the modular setup significantly reduces the complexity of a DC charging station and enables modules to be installed and replaced quickly.
