The oil and gas monitoring system (OGM) consists of a series of products that meet the requirements to fully automate and monitor a remote oil field. The OGM RG (repeater/gateway) is for converting between wireless protocols and extending the wireless network to greater distances. The OGM RG provides a wide ambient operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C. The field-ready, 304 stainless steel, IP65-rated enclosure includes all the cable glands and gland plugs needed for installation.
The OGM RG, as a field-ready and configurable solution product, includes a wireless transceiver, power and surge protection devices, and mounting flexibility. It can be configured as either a repeater, extending the field network, or a gateway, changing protocols between networks such as cellular, WLAN, 900 MHz, and 2.4 GHz.
The OGM RG provides the scalability and functionality required for most remote oil and gas field-monitoring applications. These applications may include:
– Remote wellhead monitoring and control
– RTU telemetry
– Gateway for data to the “cloud”
– Secure wireless access to the pad site
– Encrypted backhaul data
