TERMITRAB Complete is the world's narrowest surge protection for MCR technology. Our product range includes a complete system kit, covering everything from simple, single-stage surge protection to multi-stage, pluggable versions with knife disconnection, signaling, and the option of remote signaling.
With a world-leading, narrow width of just 3.5 mm, TERMITRAB Complete gives you a space savings of up to 50 percent, when compared with 7-mm installations.
The protective devices in the TERMITRAB complete range provide mechanical signaling that displays device status with no need for additional auxiliary power.
Optional remote signaling modules visually monitor up to 40 protective devices. In the event of a thermal overload, for example, these remote signaling modules could notify your control room of system status with a group message via a floating contact.

Surge protection system for MCR applications.
Build smaller panels by using the narrowest surge protective device starting from 3.5 mm.
The choice is yours: Push-in or screw connection technology.
Check and document the status of pluggable surge protective devices with CHECKMASTER 2.
Utilize hazardous location rated (ATEX, IECEx, Class I, Division 2) versions for demanding environments.
The fuse holders accepts standard 5x20 mm miniature fuses. They are UL 497B Listed including the Class I, Division 2 Approval for hazardous locations.
Simplify your maintenance work by means of the integrated, innovative knife disconnection.
Local status indication saves time through quick identification of SPDs requiring replacement.
Along with local status indication, remote signaling makes for a powerful tool to combat downtime.
The difference between analog signals and binary signals, or switching contacts, is that only one concrete signal status is transmitted. Surge voltages can, however, interfere with the transmission of statuses, which in turn results in system errors. The right surge protection protects your signal transmission and ensures that your system keeps running.
Switching states and signal contacts are typical signals that are recorded with the binary inputs on controllers. The controllers also switch actuators such as solenoid valves. Use suitable surge protection to protect the sensitive inputs and outputs on controllers. Individual binary signals are often connected against a common reference potential. Typical arrangements that take into account this common reference potential are provided by so-called 2x1 or 4x1 circuits.
Analog signals and current loops are used frequently in measurement and control technology. Integrate these signals into a surge protection concept. The new, ultra-narrow TERMITRAB Complete surge protective devices provide your signals with optimum protection starting from an overall width of just 3.5 mm.
Analog measured variables—speed, pressure, flow, etc.—are recorded by sensors and converted into current or voltage values by measuring transducers. They are transmitted to the controller or the isolator module within a standardized value range. The “1x2 circuit” is typically used for this type of analog transmission method.
The ”1x4 circuit” surge protection is ideal for 4-conductor measurement applications, including temperature and weight. These surge protection devices consist of protective plug and base element, with integrated status indicator for high current 4-wire signal circuits.
Transient coupled-in surge voltages can cause damage to the field device and centrally. Both of these end points require surge protection.
The TTC-6-FC-UT fuse holder expands the function of the narrow surge protective devices from the TERMITRAB Complete (TTC) product family. The fuse holder is compatible with existing TTC products with screw connection. With the new fuse holders, both overvoltage protection and modular overcurrent protection can be implemented over a width of only 6 mm.
Specific ambient conditions place special requirements on surge protection. Surge protective devices for potentially explosive applications provide the right protection for ensuring maximum availability in sensitive areas.
The chemical and petrochemical industries involve industrial processes that produce explosive atmospheres. They are caused, for example, by gases, fumes, or vapors. Explosive atmospheres can also occur in mills, silos, sugar, and fodder factories due to the dust present there.
Hazardous locations
Surge protective devices for the Ex area are subject to specific conditions. The products meet specific requirements for the intrinsic safety type of protection. All surge protective devices are assigned to the “Ex ia” category for intrinsically safe circuits and provide maximum safety. In this category, the equipment must not be capable of causing ignition, even in the event of two independent faults.
It can be installed in Ex Zone 1, Ex Zone 2 or in the non-Ex area. The connected signals can be forwarded through to Ex Zone 0. Some products also meet the requirements of the pressure-tight encapsulation type of protection. Approvals are granted according to ATEX and IECEx.
