The WIL-SHM-S SENSOR is a specially optimized sensor for use in wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a dual-axis accelerometer and temperature measurement. The sensor is attached to the inside of the rotor blade using the WIL-GFK-MOUNTING PLATE mounting panel (see “Accessories” tab). Together with a WIL-BI switchgear and controlgear assembly, it is possible to measure vibrations and imbalances on the rotor blade. This enables the early detection of damage to the WTG. Three sensors are required per WTG.
The item is part of the Blade Intelligence rotor blade monitoring system for wind turbine generators (WTGs). The Blade Intelligence rotor blade monitoring system allows for recording and detailed analysis of typical measured values for lightning currents, temperature, ice thickness, bending moments, vibration, and imbalances on the rotor of a WTG. It consists of the corresponding sensors, preassembled connecting cables, and a WIL-BI switchgear and controlgear assembly (as the evaluation unit).
