What will change? The EU Machinery Directive to be replaced by the new EU Machinery Regulation

The manufacturers, dealers, and operators of the respective machinery who are active the European market will be affected. Companies should become familiar with the upcoming changes that the new Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 will bring compared to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC as early as possible. It is mandatory that the new requirements of the new Regulation are satisfied by the time it comes into force on January 20, 2027.

The new requirements also affect harmonized standards. By the time the new Machinery Regulation comes into force, all standards listed in the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC must have been revised both in form and in terms of content.
