A water filtration system in a class of its own
Our Irish subsidiary is implementing a reed bed water treatment project in partnership with Airfield Estate. The water filtration system at Airfield Estate is designed to save and reuse water. The project also includes special educational programs on the importance of water, environmental protection, and resource management.
- Wastewater recycling
- Creation of educational programs to raise awareness about water consumption
- Reduction of ecosystem pollution
Visits per year
Airfield Estate is an educational nonprofit committed to sustainability which has partnered with Phoenix Contact on a project to treat water using the local reed bed. The on-site water filtration system is scheduled to be recycled by the end of 2023. In the course of this, workshops on water consumption and resource management will be offered to visitors.
A valuable contribution to water conservation
Airfield Estate set up the reed bed water treatment project together with Phoenix Contact Ireland. Launched in March 2023, the project is expected to run until the end of the year.
This project brings Airfield Estate a step closer to achieving their ultimate goal of becoming a hub for sustainable food within the next five years. The careful use of water is an essential prerequisite for this. There is also a social aspect that plays into the project, as the organization offers educational programs that provide information about the project as well as general information about a sustainable circular economy.
