When it comes to data acquisition in PV systems and wind turbine generators, the security of access to the collected data and the transmission paths is also extremely important. In addition to the ever-increasing risk of hacker attacks, there are various legal regulations aimed at protecting your company from cyberattacks. These include the Cyber Resilience Act, the NIS-2 Directive, and the KRITIS Regulation. Currently, there is not a harmonized standard for their implementation. However, it can be assumed that the internationally leading OT security standard IEC 62443 will play a decisive role.
New resistance temperature measuring modules for Axioline F and Axioline P
Phoenix Contact is extending the portfolio of Axioline F and Axioline P remote I/O systems with three new resistance temperature measuring modules (RTD modules) that support resistive temperature measuring devices.
New controller family for building and room automation
Compact distribution boards which offer little space for the hardware to be installed are often used in building and room automation. Phoenix Contact has therefore extended its product portfolio to include devices in the DIN rail-mount format. In addition to the proven ILC 2050 BI building controller, the new Catan C1 EN controller is now available.
New IO-Link device I/O boxes
With the two new IO-Link device I/O boxes, AXL E IOL DI16 M12 6M and AXL E IOL DIO8/8 M12 6M, Phoenix Contact is extending the portfolio of the new Axioline E I/O generation for control-cabinet-free automation to include devices for digital signal processing.
PLCnext Control certified for secure communication in accordance with IEC 61850 Ed. 2.1 and IEC 62351-3
PLCnext Control from Phoenix Contact has now also been certified by DNV in accordance with the international standards IEC 61850 Ed. 2.1 and IEC 62351-3 for secure communication in energy management systems. Previously, the controller was the first on the market to be certified with a scope of functions in accordance with IEC 62443 4-2 SL2.
Extension of the safety portfolio – safe I/O modules for Failsafe over EtherCAT
