The CONTACTRON Speed Starter protects motors in the event of overloads caused by a shutdown in accordance with the load curve. It enables safe shutdown in the event of an emergency via the Safe Torque Off (STO) function, without the need for additional contactors. The integrated thermal storage system ensures that the motor is shut down more quickly under high loads in order to prevent overheating.
