New configurable signal towers with IO-Link interface
Phoenix Contact is extending its portfolio of signaling devices with three new configurable signal towers of the PSD-SC series. The models feature up to 15 RGB segments, various operating modes, and can be configured conveniently via the IO-Link interface.
The new signal towers in the PSD-SC family are available in two sizes with nine or 15 RGB segments and enable precise display of machine statuses in four operating modes, including traffic light, level, bar, and status display. The RGB segments can be controlled individually and are characterized by high luminosity and good visibility even in daylight. Two versions also have an integrated acoustic element with ten tones in six keys, which provides an acoustic supplement to the visual signaling. The towers are configured via IO-Link through IODD integration in PLCnext Engineer, which enables easy integration into existing automation systems. The robust design with IP66/IP69K, UL Type 4X and IK08 degrees of protection ensures reliable use in harsh industrial environments. With the M12 connection technology and flexible mounting options – floor, panel, or pipe mounting – the signal towers can be used in a variety of applications.
