Attachment plug with replaceable surge protection for coaxial signal interfaces. Connection: N connector socket/socket
Surge protection for transmitter and receiver systems
Antennas are real lightning conductors. Use powerful surge protection with low attenuation. Play it safe with our powerful COAXTRAB coaxial protective devices. Select the right low-capacity protective circuits to achieve low attenuation and high bandwidth. Thanks to excellent impedance matching, surge protection does not distort the useful signal.

COAXTRAB – Surge protection for coaxial cables
For each the application, the COAXTRAB product family offers suitable surge protection for the particular connection technology. Appropriate surge protective devices are available for transceiver systems with N-connectors or 7/16 connections in the mobile communications environment or for consumer electronics with TV/SAT connections and BNC connections. Thanks to their very low attenuation values, the protective devices enable interference-free signal transmission.
Areas of application of coaxial protective devices
Transceiver systems are considered to be particularly susceptible to overvoltages. Antenna cables which extend beyond the building and which are therefore very long, and the antennas themselves, are exposed directly to atmospheric discharges. Overvoltages can reach the sensitive interfaces of the system via these cable paths and impair or even interrupt transmission.
The high frequencies involved in wireless transmission demand protective devices with low self capacitance, low insertion losses and good impedance matching. Nevertheless, a good level of protection with high discharge capacity is required. Suitable protective devices are therefore equipped with powerful gas discharge tubes or with the Lambda/4 technology.
