After connection, the measuring devices are automatically found in the network. This reduces your configuration effort. The Energy Management Service - On-Premises does not require you to use our measuring devices exclusively. You can also integrate third-party hardware via a data logger or a controller from the PLCnext Control family.

Create individual dashboards and reports with pie, bar, line, and Sankey charts to analyze your energy data. Structure your own data points in eight hierarchy levels, from the building network right down to the individual measurement level. If defined characteristic values are exceeded, alarms will be generated within the system and sent via email if desired.

Create your own key figures (EnPIs) and calculate them using the formula editor. External or older energy data can be imported as a CSV file so that it can be included in the calculations. Simply download the reports from the last few months or years and share them with other people.

System topology


The Energy Management Service - On-Premises system consists of EMpro measuring devices that are connected to an EPC via a switch. Integration via a REST API or Modbus/TCP is simple.
The system also enables the integration of any Modbus/RTU and M-Bus measuring devices. The data is forwarded to the EPC via a data logger via Modbus/TCP and displayed in the Energy Management Service.
With the flexible and open architecture, our system is ready for future upgrades and adjustments to the cloud, building management system, etc.

The PLCnext Control for edge computing combines the robustness of proven industrial PCs with the open PLCnext Technology. Modular PLCnext Control
The robust Phoenix Contact Axiocontrol series features several PLCs in various performance classes for PLCnext Technology. They are designed for programming with high-level languages, as well as classic IEC 61131-3 languages. The PLCs can be extended with modules for the Axioline and Inline IP20 I/O systems.

The Energy Management Service - On-Premises does not require you to use our measuring devices exclusively. It provides you with the flexibility to select the devices of your choice. Use a data logger or a controller such as PLCnext Control to connect the third-party hardware to the energy monitoring system.
EMpro energy meters for billing purposes
Energy meters for billing purposes enable precise energy data billing. EMpro AC energy meters record all the important electrical parameters in all four quadrants. EMpro DC energy meters measure currents and voltages up to 650 A/1,000 V DC directly. The measurement data is made available via standard communication interfaces.

With the Energy Management Service - On-Premises, you can generate and compare key figures (EnPIs) yourself. The integrated formula editor is a helpful tool for this. With it, several key figures and energy values can be calculated or combined. Third-party or old performance data can be imported via the import function as a CSV file and included in the calculated or compared data.

For example, you have your daily and monthly consumption displayed in a table combined with a heat map and have it sent to you regularly by email.
