Pick-and-place machine
Pick-and-place stations are often the heart of a packaging machine. The products to be packaged are precisely gripped, moved, and positioned at very high speeds. To ensure a continuous and efficient process in a packaging machine, the stations work synchronously with conveyor belts, feed systems, and packaging stations.

Cartoning machine
After the goods have been packed in cartons, the cartoning machine closes and labels the cartons. The cartons are then discharged via a conveyor belt to the palletizer and transported.

  • Various relay families are the interface between the controller and carton erector and isolate, multiply, and amplify signals
  • Switches ensure reliable data distribution throughout the packaging machine network
  • In combination with our safety relays, the non-contact and compact safety switch monitors the safety door to the cartoning machine
  • Terminal blocks and distribution blocks ensure reliable power and potential distribution
  • Power supplies with smart diagnostic functions make it particularly easy to identify faults
Packaging machine quality control

Quality control

Reliable quality control ensures that only flawless products reach the next process step in the packaging machine. Early detection of problems reduces the number of faulty products and therefore also rejects.

  • Sensor/actuator boxes and the associated circular connectors record the signals from the light, pressure, weight, and position sensors, for example, and pass them on to the control system
  • With their hygienic design, our sensor/actuator boxes and circular connectors are ideal for applications in the direct vicinity of foodstuffs
  • Quality control elements can be integrated quickly and reliably with robust, heavy-duty connectors
  • Reliable and robust feed-through of cables directly into the control box with the aid of space-saving cable entry systems

Conveyor belt

The cartons are transported from the carton erector to the palletizer on two offset conveyor belts. On the second conveyor belt, the products to be packaged are transported from the filling station to the pick-and-place station.

  • Robust power supplies with IP67 degree of protection are ideally suited for decentral supply in the field and can be installed directly on the conveyor belt
  • The IPD and QPD installation systems ensure easy and tool-free power distribution directly at the conveyor belt
  • Input and output signals from the conveyor belt are acquired and processed directly with the remote I/O system with IP65/IP67 degree of protection. The fully molded zinc die-cast housing offers a high degree of robustness and the devices are also suitable for I/O link applications
