TERMITRAB complete is the world's narrowest surge protection solution for MCR technology.
TERMITRAB complete provides you with a complete system of surge protective devices. It ranges from simple, single-stage surge protection to multi-stage, pluggable versions with knife disconnection, signaling, and remote signaling option.
With its wide range of features for virtually all applications in measurement and control technology, TERMITRAB complete is the ideal solution.
TERMITRAB complete provides surge protection with an overall width of just 3.5 mm. This is made possible, among other things, by the innovative Push-in connection technology and the use of particularly flat components. The protective devices with an overall width of 6 mm also offer an unprecedented range of circuit versions and features.
The protective devices in the TERMITRAB complete product range feature overload protection. A disconnect device ensures safe behavior in the event of a thermal overload. In the event of an overload, the disconnect device trips and signals this mechanically on the protective device. If desired, you can transmit the status of up to 40 neighboring protective devices to the control room via optional remote signaling modules.
With TERMITRAB complete, you will find the ideal surge protective device for your specific requirements. From the ultra-slim module for analog and digital interfaces with an overall width of just 3.5 mm to multi-stage pluggable protective devices with integrated knife disconnection, status indicator, and remote signaling option.
With the product versions with integrated knife disconnection, the signal path can be easily interrupted. This means, for example, that the field side and the control side can be installed independently of one another with the knife disconnection open. The signal only becomes active when the disconnect knife is closed. The integrated knife disconnection is also very useful when it comes to maintenance work, such as testing loop resistance.
The pluggable versions can be quickly and easily replaced during maintenance without having to access the wiring. The measuring signal is not interrupted, which means that errors are not generated in the measurement results. During regular lightning protection tests, the pluggable protective devices are checked easily using CHECKMASTER 2. This ensures standard-compliant documentation of the test results and enables predictive maintenance. The mechanical coding prevents accidental mismatching of protective plugs.
TERMITRAB complete also offers the ideal solution for protecting signals in intrinsically safe circuits with Ex i protection. The properties of the intrinsically safe circuit are not affected by the installation of the surge protection module. It can be installed in Ex zone 1, Ex zone 2 or in the non-Ex area. The signals can be forwarded up to Ex zone 0. The products are approved in accordance with ATEX and IECEx.
The accessories are specifically tailored to the TERMITRAB complete product range. This enables you to incorporate additional features in your applications without compromising on the ultra-slim design of these surge protective devices.
The TTC-6-FC-UT fuse carriers provide quick and easy selective protection against overcurrents in signal circuits. The fuse carriers can be easily retrofitted and accommodate conventional 5 x 20 mm miniature fuses. Maximum space savings are achieved, thanks to direct installation on TTC-6 base elements with screw connection.
The TTC-…-LCP end covers provide IP20 protection for surge protective devices that are open at one end. Use one end cover for a series of surge protective devices. The covers are available for single-stage surge protective devices with an overall width of 6 mm and for ultra-slim surge protective devices with an overall width of 3.5 mm.
TERMITRAB complete offers over 110 products with different circuit and voltage variants. This variety provides a solution for virtually all applications in MCR technology. The configurator for surge protection for MCR technology assists you in keeping track of everything. In just two clicks, you can navigate to a selection of appropriate products that offer optimum protection for your application. The selection guide provides a quick introduction to the twelve most popular interfaces in MCR technology. If your interface is not included in the selection, you can find a suitable surge protective device via the detailed search.
Isolated signals (loops) are used very frequently in measurement and control technology. The new, ultra-slim TERMITRAB complete surge protective devices provide your signals with optimum protection, starting from an overall width of just 3.5 mm.
The difference between isolated signals and signals with a common reference potential is that only a specific signal status is transmitted. The right surge protection solution protects your signal transmission and ensures that your system keeps running.
In the case of resistance-dependent measurements, the internal resistance of the surge protective devices can generate errors in the measurement results. Protective circuits with an extremely low self-impedance are available for these applications.
Certain ambient conditions place special requirements on surge protection. Surge protective devices for potentially explosive applications provide the right protection for ensuring maximum availability in sensitive areas.
The longer the cable installed in the field, the more susceptible it is to surge voltage couplings, e.g., from nearby lightning strikes. You should therefore protect these cables separately with single-stage protective devices at the building entrance or in intermediate distributors.
