TERMITRAB complete provides the right surge protection solution to meet every requirement
In the case of resistance-dependent measurements, the internal resistance of the surge protective devices can generate errors in the measurement results. For this reason, protective circuits with an extremely low self-impedance are available for these applications.

If a measured variable is determined directly based on the resistance value of an electrical component, the additional impedances within the measuring loop play a special role. This affects, for example, temperature measurements with platinum resistance detectors (Pt 100, Pt 1000) as well as strain gauges with two-wire technology. As a rule, MCR surge protection products contain impedances in the common mode paths. If the impedances are introduced into the circuit without recalibration, the measurement result will be falsified due to the change in the total impedance. Circuit versions without additional longitudinal resistances simplify the installation of surge protection in applications of this kind.
These products provide surge protection for resistance-dependent measurements.
One-piece, multi-stage surge protective devices without status indicator for nominal voltages up to 24 V DC are available for a range of circuit versions. They are available with Push-in or screw connection.
With an overall width of just 6 mm, use TERMITRAB complete to protect applications for 2-, 3- or even 4-conductor measurements. The multi-stage, pluggable surge protective devices are available with Push-in or screw connection. The protective devices provide signaling at the plug and can be tested with CHECKMASTER 2.
With an overall width of 17.5 mm, PLUGTRAB PT offers pluggable surge protective devices for a variety of voltage and circuit versions. The protective plugs are tested with CHECKMASTER 2. The PLUGTRAB PT product family is available with screw connection technology.
The LINETRAB product family provides surge protection in an overall width of 6.2 mm. This allows you to protect up to four signal wires for digital or analog interfaces, including in intrinsically safe areas. Multi-conductor temperature measurements can also be performed via an optional DIN rail connector. LINETRAB is available with screw connection technology.
The SURGETRAB surge protective devices can be screwed directly onto field devices such as measuring elements. Product versions for parallel and through wiring are available. Various voltage and circuit versions are available with different connecting threads. SURGETRAB is available for Ex areas with Ex i (intrinsic safety) and Ex d (flameproof enclosure) type of protection.
The more accurate measured values such as temperature or weight measurements need to be, the greater the number of conductors used for these measurements. In the case of 2- or 3-conductor measurement, inaccuracies may occur due to the cable lengths. With 4-conductor measurements, these errors are prevented by the measurement setup.
Use TERMITRAB complete to protect all four conductors against overvoltages with a single protective device – with an overall width of just 6 mm. The protective devices consist of a base element and plug. If maintenance is required, you can simply replace the plug during operation without affecting the measuring signal or requiring any wiring effort. Depending on your requirements, use fast Push-in connection technology or conventional screw connection. Thanks to visual monitoring, you can integrate up to 40 protective devices into the remote signaling system without additional outlay.
