TMC 7 and TMC 8 circuit breakers in two blocks on DIN rail

Miniature circuit breakers

The miniature circuit breakers of the TMC 7 and TMC 8 product families consist of 1-, 2-, and 3-position thermal-magnetic protective devices. They are available in nominal current versions from 1 to 63 A and provide comprehensive device and line protection. The miniature circuit breakers are available with tripping characteristics B, C, and D and comply with the standards UL 1077 / EN 60947-2 (TMC 7) and UL 489 (TMC 8). All items are consistently equipped with the corresponding approvals.

Your advantages

  • Can be used worldwide due to international approvals
  • Suitable for various grid types, as it is available in 1-, 2-, 3-pos. versions
  • Ideally coordinated protection due to various tripping characteristics and a wide selection of nominal currents

Properties at a glance

TMC 8 miniature circuit breaker with marking of the individual advantages
Screw connection
The screw connection offers a proven and safe connection technology.
Mechanical status indicator
The mechanical status indicator shows the current status of the miniature circuit breaker. A red window means that the device is energized. A green indicator shows that the miniature circuit breaker on the output side is de-energized.
Tilting lever
The switch position of the tilting lever makes the state of the miniature circuit breaker clear at a glance.
Extended collar
Due to increased air clearances and creepage distances, the TMC 8 miniature circuit breaker can be used as branch circuit protection.
Snap-on foot
The snap-on foot makes it easy to snap the miniature circuit breakers on and off.
Nominal current of 1 – 63 A
The miniature circuit breakers can be used for nominal currents of 1 – 63 A and voltages of 120/240/277/480 V AC as well as 60/125 V DC.
Short-circuit current rating and breaking capacity
The miniature circuit breakers have a short-circuit breaking capacity of Ics of 7.5 kA (TMC 7) or 10 kA (TMC 8) in accordance with IEC 60947-2 and SCCR of up to 7.5 kA in accordance with UL 1077 (TMC 7).

Reliable miniature circuit breakers TMC 7 and TMC 8

The thermal-magnetic circuit breakers of the TMC 7 and TMC 8 families reliably protect your applications in the event of an overcurrent or short circuit.

The reliable switching behavior, uninfluenceable positive trip-free mechanism, and color status indicator ensure safety during operation and maintenance. The integrated snap-action mechanism effectively reduces wear on the internal contacts, which increases the service life of the devices.

Three different tripping characteristics and a wide selection of nominal currents up to 63 A in 1-, 2-, and 3-pos. switch versions create a product range that provides perfectly coordinated protection. Optional accessories, such as shunt releases, signal contacts and auxiliary contacts, make it easier to control and evaluate remotely.
