FAME LPIT

Plug-in test system for low-power sensors

FAME LPIT enables the testing of low-power sensors in HV and MV switchgear. The plug-in test socket provides full access to all eight signal contacts of the RJ45 protective device interface, allowing the grid quality to be measured in addition to current, voltage, and frequency.

FAME converts complex testing sequences into a standardized and secure plugging process. The permanently installed plug-in test socket is connected to the relevant current, voltage, and signal circuits of the system. Inserting the test plug automatically establishes the switching states required for the test in the correct sequence. This means that test devices can be connected quickly, safely, and consistently, without having to interfere with the existing system wiring. This reduces the amount of testing required, increases operational safety, and minimizes the risk of operator error.

FAME LPIT Plug-in test system for low-power sensors

FAME LPIT has been developed specifically for testing modern low-power instrument transformers (LPITs) in medium- and high-voltage switchgear. The system enables secure access to all relevant sensor signals without having to interfere with the system wiring. In this way, FAME LPIT supports the transition to digitalized power grids and smart protective systems.

FAME 1 With operating plug
