New resistance temperature measuring modules for Axioline F and Axioline P
Phoenix Contact is extending the portfolio of Axioline F and Axioline P remote I/O systems with three new resistance temperature measuring modules (RTD modules) that support resistive temperature measuring devices.
With the new Axioline input modules AXL P RTD8 1F, AXL P EX IS RTD8 1F, and AXL F EX IS RTD8 XC 1F, the highly available I/O platform of the Axioline P product family is being extended to include the connection of resistive temperature measuring devices (RTD). An intrinsically safe RTD input module is being added to the portfolio of the Axioline F product family.
The RTD modules of the Axioline P product family feature all the specifications of the stripped-down Axioline P platform. The power is supplied via bus base modules, which means that the RTD modules can be replaced during operation and have a high level of immunity. The AXL F EX IS RTD8 1F intrinsically safe module is an extension of the existing Axioline F remote I/O system. It features the specifications of the standard XC I/O modules.
All RTD input modules support common platinum and nickel sensors as well as various KTY8x sensor types and linear inputs with 500 Ω, 5 kΩ, and 10 kΩ. Other characteristics include short-circuit protection, extended temperature ranges (-40°C to 70°C), and class 1 division 2, zone 2 ATEX and IEC Ex approvals. The intrinsically safe modules can be installed in potentially explosive areas of division 2, zone 2 and connected to sensors in zone 0.1 areas.
