Maintenance-free DC UPS with integrated power supply and capacitive energy storage unit

With the new DC UPS with integrated TRIO3-CAP power supply, Phoenix Contact is presenting an innovative, maintenance-free UPS solution for DC applications with a service life of up to 20 years. The 3-in-1 device combines power supply, UPS, and energy storage in a compact housing, thus reducing the amount of space and wiring required in the control cabinet. Wiring is simple and tool-free with Push-in Technology. The robust storage technology enables more than 500,000 charging and discharging cycles. With the dynamic boost, TRIO3-CAP delivers up to 150 percent of the nominal power for 5 seconds. The CAP boost from the energy storage system even provides up to 350 percent for 350 milliseconds – ideal for high startup currents. Configuration is intuitive and is carried out directly on the device or via software. Typical applications include those in the fields of machine building and systems manufacturing, in the energy and infrastructure sectors, and wherever particularly high system availability and minimal maintenance are required.
