Alerts via the mobile network

Alerts via the mobile network

Preventing failures

Always up-to-date, even without a constant connection.

Monitor analog and digital values easily and securely via the mobile network. The compact TC MOBILE I/O X200 remote control system keeps you up to date on the status or error state of your system, even in the field. The mobile router and the controller with integrated ILC 151 GSM/GPRS modem combine this capability in addition to their main task.

All solutions can be used to send text messages via SMS or e-mail, and to set one or more peer switching outputs, e.g. for activating the machine. Thus, you can prevent damage and downtimes, and avoid costly on-site servicing.

Your advantages

  • Reduced machine and system downtimes, by means of automatic alerts via SMS and e-mail
  • Reduce communication costs, thanks to event-controlled alerts
  • A conventional mobile phone can serve as a peer
  • Mobile phone networks are available worldwide
  • Integration into existing control systems

One network via SMS

Alerts via the mobile network

SMS messages grant human and machine access to alarms and switching operations

To this day, use of an SMS alert system when there is a fault or critical threshold values are present offers some advantages compared to modern communication methods. Even if the mobile reception is inadequate, SMS messages can be transmitted in situations in which speaking and data communication are no longer functioning reliably. This makes it easier than ever for others to contact you in the field, even when the reception is poor.

Even in situations in which an alarm message is not intended to reach the technicians in the field, but is instead integrated into the alarm management of a control system, this technology offers a solution. Using a Phoenix Contact controller and mobile router together with the RESY+ function block, you can receive SMS messages and forward them to a control system via an interface such as the OPC interface.

TC Mobile I/O app

There's no need to write an SMS message. Just use TC MOBILE I/O App to send SMS switching commands

When alarms are received via SMS, their cause(s) must be rectified. Simply by acknowledging the fault or issuing a restart command via SMS, a fault can be rectified immediately and a trip to the system can be avoided or prompt service can be scheduled accordingly.

The TC Mobile I/O app (for iOS and Android) makes it even easier to use the TC Mobile I/O X200, and saves you having to write an SMS text. At the push of a button, this app allows you to switch your outputs conveniently and easily check the status of your device at any time.
