Radioline multipoint multiplexer

With the Radioline I/O modules, the Radioline RS-485 bus coupler provides you with a multiplexer system specifically for process use. The special feature: easy I/O mapping using the thumbwheel and multipoint operation over any 2-wire cables or alternative media.

I/O communication made easy

Quick and easy startup of a complete I/O system – without any programming.

Your advantages:

  • New options for I/O distribution with up to 99 stations in the bus system, thanks to multipoint multiplexer operation
  • Expansion of the Radioline wireless system by a wired line structure
  • Can be used on any controller as a Modbus/RTU slave
  • Bridge large distances using existing 2-wire copper cables or a wireless connection
  • Use in zone 2 potentially explosive areas

I/O mapping

Quick and easy startup of I/O systems

Use the thumbwheel to assign the I/O modules within a network to one another. Simply set the I/O modules that need to communicate with one another to the same number. For example, set a digital input to IO MAP address 12 and then also set the assigned digital output to IO MAP address 12 – the signals will then be distributed correctly throughout the entire system.

One device – a wide range of applications

Distribute I/O signals over existing 2-wire cables

Multipoint multiplexer

Distribute I/O signals in an RS-485 network with up to 99 Radioline stations over existing 2-wire cables. I/O mapping simplifies signal distribution significantly in large systems.

Assign inputs and outputs quickly by simply turning the thumbwheel. In this way you can distribute and multiply I/O signals freely in your network using I/O extension modules – without the need for any programming.

Wireless and wired stations form a combined system.

Intermedia communication

A Radioline wireless system on an existing master can be expanded to include new RS-485 stations. The wireless and RS-485 modules form a combined system with up to 99 Radioline stations. I/O mapping significantly simplifies intermedia signal distribution in large systems.

Radioline wireless front modules and front modules

Operates on any Modbus/RTU master

Stand-alone operation as a Modbus slave

Operates on any Modbus/RTU master. Modularly expandable with up to 32 I/O modules per RS-485 station.

SHDSL extender

Extend your range by up to 20 km over existing 2-wire cables with SHDSL extenders

Alternative transmission media

To increase the range, you can of course replace the RS-485 line with alternative transmission media. A wide range of converters is available for fiber-optic cables, SHDSL, wireless, and Ethernet technology.
