IEC 62443 and Phoenix Contact
The IEC 62443 standard describes all relevant Operational Technology (OT) requirements necessary to reduce cybersecurity risks for asset owners, system integrators or service providers and manufacturers.
In addition to being a manufacturer, Phoenix Contact is also a machine builder and asset owner of our production lines. Therefore, security is firmly embedded in our business processes and the entire life cycle of our products. This already starts in the development process by integrating important security functions into our products. In addition, we provide expert advice and, if necessary, supply security patches.

Already since 2018, we have a certified safe development and production process according to IEC 62443-4-1. This is the prerequisite to provide Secure by Design products.

For designing secure automation solutions, we are certified according to IEC 62443-2-4. Our certified cybersecurity consultants advise you on how to minimize individual security risks in your installation. They will prepare a security concept for you upon request.
Security Solutions.
To better explain and implement the procedural and functional system requirements of IEC 62443-2-4, we have developed the blueprint "Remote-Monitoring and -Control." This is certified according to IEC 62443-3-3.
